Trial and licences

Everything in Pro works for 14 days, with no key and no card. After that, your work stays and exporting needs a licence.

The 14-day trial

The trial starts the first time Agnos opens, and needs no network. For 14 days everything in Pro works: every kind of export with no size limit, saved recipes, and Suggest the fewest changes in Review.

The bottom of the menu shows the days left, and the Licence page gives the last day.

When the trial ends

The menu says “Trial ended”. Nothing is deleted, and you can still create projects, add files, preview, clean and review. Exporting needs a licence, and so do saving and applying recipes and Suggest the fewest changes.

Buy Pro, or enter a key you already have, and you can export straight away.

Plans

Pro is paid once and never renews. It includes all version 2.x updates, and a 2.x licence does not expire. A future major version may be a separate purchase, and buying it is up to you.

The Company Pack is Pro for a team: one key for up to five people in one company, on up to 10 devices in total, with one company invoice. Everyone enters the same key. It cannot be resold or passed to a client organisation. See Pricing.

Buying Pro

Buy Pro from the pricing page. Payment is handled by Polar, who sell Agnos on our behalf. Prices are in US dollars, and any sales tax or VAT is added at checkout, before you pay.

Your key is shown on the confirmation page and sent to you by email. Keep that email; if you lose it, write to hello@gidion.io.

Activate your key

1. Open Licence, at the bottom of the menu.

2. Press Have a licence key?

3. Paste the key. Pasting the whole email it came in works too.

4. Press Activate.

Exporting works straight away. A key bought online needs the internet to activate. The Licence page then shows how many of the key's devices are in use.

Licence checks

Agnos checks a key bought online about once a week while the computer is online. A check that cannot reach the server changes nothing.

If no check has succeeded for 60 days, exporting pauses and everything else keeps working. Connect to the internet and press Check now on the Licence page: one successful check lifts the pause at once.

A check sends the key and a few ids to Polar, and nothing about your documents. The full list is in Your files and privacy.

Offline keys

For a computer that is never online, ask hello@gidion.io for an offline key. It is checked on your computer and never uses the network.

An offline key is made for one computer. Send that computer's code, shown on the Licence page under Have a licence key?, and the key works on that computer only.

Devices

A Pro key works on 2 devices, and a Company Pack key on up to 10. Each computer you activate uses one, and the Licence page shows how many are in use.

A key already on all its devices is refused until you free one; see below. Another person needs a licence of their own, or a place on a Company Pack.

Moving to a new computer

A key bought online

1. On the old computer, while it is online, open Licence and press Deactivate this device.

2. Press Yes, deactivate to confirm.

3. On the new computer, paste the same key and press Activate.

If the old computer is offline, deactivating fails and the device stays in use; connect and try again. If the old computer is gone or wiped, write to hello@gidion.io with your order number and the old computer's name, and we free the device for you.

An offline key

An offline key works only on the computer it was made for, and has no Deactivate button. Write to hello@gidion.io with your order number and the new computer's code, shown on its Licence page under Have a licence key?, and we send a key for it.

Refunds

Ask for a refund within 14 days of buying. A refund withdraws the licence it paid for: after Agnos next checks the licence, it works as it does when the trial ends. Nothing on your computer is deleted, and what you already exported stays yours. See the refund policy.
